LIFE IS LIKE A FAIRYTALE

Life is a fairytale they say

I think I believe what people say

I love to ponder life lessons   behind a story,

seeing more beyond  what the eyes can see

I want to spend   a day in wonderland

be with the great fairies in  Neverland,

and fulfill my dreams with the wave of their wand

and here my story began….

famous stories that marked in the

hearts of men leaving imprints  that remain to the present

we’ve grown “brawn”and mature the century’s old stories remain to unfold,

It captures many hearts and behold these captivating stories never grows old

Cinderella in cinders she resides from mornings  till night, left the  in the ashes to weep,

the prince like her at first glance:They fell in love in an instant,

when the clock strikes twelve the spell breaks

The prince rummaging the land to whom the shoe fits

too many tried  but it’s suitable  to  none,

until he found her she  Cinderella  became

the happiest in  the land

It’s  an admonish to many  weaving  your dreams to reality

through  hard work and ingenuity

For those who toil and tarry with

patience and perseverance,

Life will reward them great fortune and substance .

II

Who is as pretty as Aurora ?hair of golden thread  with a voice of the  nightingale

lips that curls like a red rose  eyes that shines like a shimmering  blue sky

She  lives in comfort pampered in solitude with three great fairies upon her foothold,

She knows no pain , nor  sorrow beauty surrounds her wherever she go

Goddess of grace the promise of bliss  until a needle pricked her to sleep

A  sleeping beauty  see  things has  change life is not the same,

her dreams became a nightmare realising life sometimes  it  isn’t fair ;

Refusing to wake up refusing to learn and acknowledge her pain,

people surround  her suffers in vain till love finds her way again.

III

Beauty is Belle pretty as a flower Walking in the street head covered in pages;

of a handheld book in hardbound cover,

She never look up or down not giving a nod or smile

to people who pass her by living a life oblivious to all passersby

Fate became so ugly and wry  from a distance a news came by so goes her father to pry

to a fortune left for life. A  simple rose is all she ask on his way back-

risk her father’s life  … The beast  bartered her for her heart ;

Love has   grown behind a fierce smile of a grossly faced man

behind his ugliness innate beauty shines.

He lives in arrogance once in the fullness of his prime ,

until a fairy curse him a catharsis to change

Beauty, surrounds him  everywhere;

to guide him  with love and care

a hand that leads a heart that holds

to a wayward man who was lost;

and found his foothold.

Judge not the book by its cover real beauty lies within

sometimes adversity gives new hopes and opportunity

out in the darkness of our

situation beauty within us shines.

IV

Peter Pan is it all fun to live in Neverland? soaring up high

along the birds and cloudless sky

in magic  fantasy  and fairytale you thrive

refusing to open your eyes.

Grow  up Peter Pan life is not all fun

bring in the memories of your prime,

you can never live in dreamland for a lifetime;

Peter Pan lives within us a happy thoughts:

an innocent  child  behind

a big luminous eyes

Be happy and gay you’ll never grow old that way

Reality is as subtle as life  people grows old but Peter Pan don’t

beauty fades along with age

the tides of life came floating by

as season and time journeys together

never complete without the other to a place called ever after

I think I was living a lie weaving a fairytale  a fantasy in my mind

so, I write this to reprimand a heart that goes out of balance.

    It’s funny that you say life is like a fairytale. Just last week we were discussing the evolution of Disney princesses and how they reflect Life at different times: 1950s Cinderella… 1990s Belle.

    Have you ever fallen asleep and then woke up to find you were still asleep? Dreams can be so real, they can fool you! Dreams: The one thing no one can tamper with but ourselves :O)

      yes, I still love dwelling in fairytales but I’m also a realist that’s a conflicting side of me. The truth ….yes, one time I fall asleep I thought that my dream was real but then, I woke up to find that it was only a dream.
